DENVER/COMMERCE CITY, CO

Service Technician – Location TBD

  • This position requires a highly skilled and safety-conscious technician who is responsible for understanding and evaluating customer complaints documented on work orders, diagnosing equipment issues, and performing inspections, repairs, fabrication, and welding as needed. The technician must be capable of connecting to machines with a laptop to perform advanced diagnostics and accurately complete repairs on the correct machine while documenting all repair activities in a detailed and timely manner. Responsibilities include completing all supplemental work order paperwork, such as DOT inspection sheets, preventative maintenance forms, PDI forms, oil sample sheets, and estimate documents; tracking labor, parts, fluids, and repair time by segment; and notifying the Shop Foreman when additional repairs or time are required. The role also requires maintaining accountability for removed parts, accurately logging time and materials, and ensuring only authorized work is completed according to the work order. Employees must adhere to all Vermeer Colorado PPE and safety requirements, participate in assigned training programs, communicate repair updates to management, safely operate cranes, minimize workplace hazards, properly process warranty parts and documentation, and submit warranty repair photos as required. Additionally, technicians are expected to maintain their personal tool inventory, care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles, represent Vermeer Colorado professionally at company and industry events, perform additional duties assigned by management.
  • Position type & shift: Full-time nonexempt, 40 hours per week, Mon – Fri, 8am to 5pm
  • Out of State Travel Required: Up to 1 week per year
  • Wage: $ 22 to $ 40 hr.
